Bio

Caroline Bordignon is a Manchester-based composer and fine artist originally from Elmira, Ontario.  Her compositions have been performed in Canada and Great Britain. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Music and Fine Art Major from the University of Waterloo where she studied with Carol Ann Weaver as well as Agustin Fernandez at Newcastle University in England while on exchange. 

Caroline has written for orchestra including a premiere of her work Wind, at the Sound in the Land Music Festival in June 2014.  Her musical output also includes compositions for various chamber ensembles, solo instruments, and choral pieces. 

Currently, her greatest pursuit involves collaborations between music, fine art, and other art forms such as dance.  In 2015 she co-founded a collaborative arts collective, MOTUS, with Canadian artist/writer Laurie-Lynn McGlynn.  So far this series has involved two performances in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario involving live music, digital video/projection, dance, and fine art.

Currently, Caroline is pursuing her Masters of Music in Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England under the tutelage of Adam Gorb and Gary Carpenter.
