Bio

Olivia Korosak is a Canadian composer and performer who first began her musical journey at the age of four with the Royal Conservatory of Music studying piano and voice. Graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University, Olivia has obtained an Honours Bachelor in Music with a Performance Diploma in Classical Voice from the studio of Lita Classen as well as a minor in Theatre and Film studies. Olivia’s work focuses primarily on music for film, her recent scores being for the short films: A Fresh Start (2022), Isle of You (2022), DNA (2021) and Unknown Caller (2021). Unknown Caller went on to place at the Boden International Film Festival. With theatre opening up again Olivia has been active in sound designing, having scored and recorded the music for the play Whose Vagina is it, Really? which premiered at the 2022 Toronto Fringe Festival at the Al Green Theatre. Olivia regularly composes music for a variety of instruments, in 2022 she was commissioned by LAUDEM Canada to compose an organ piece to be included in their anthology. Morgan’s Organ premiered in Montreal Sunday May 15th 2022 and has continued to have performances in Québec and Finland. In 2019 Olivia was commissioned by the Burlington Symphony Orchestra to compose the piece, Ruddle of Flakes which premiered at their 2019 Christmas Spectacular concert.
