Véronique Girard is a visual and sound artist, an educator and vocalist based in Montreal. She uses a corporeal approach to create animated images and sound environments in which technology becomes a support for the affirmation of human vulnerability. Guided by movement, she seeks to reveal the authenticity of the body and of the voice in a way that is both enchanting and advocative. She is interested in the imperceptible, kinaesthesia, contemplation and intimacy.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University, she is currently completing the digital music program at the Université de Montréal. Her work has been showcased at several film festivals and concerts, both in Quebec and internationally.

Véronique Girard est une artiste visuelle et sonore, une pédagogue ainsi qu'une vocaliste de Montréal. Elle utilise une approche somatique afin de créer des images animées et des environnement sonores dans lesquels la technologie devient un support à l’affirmation de la vulnérabilité humaine. Guidée par le mouvement, elle cherche à dévoiler l’authenticité du corps et de la voix de façon à la fois féérique et revendicatrice. Elle est intéressée par l’imperceptible, la proprioception, la contemplation et l’intimité.
Titulaire d’un baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l’Université Concordia, elle termine présentement le programme de musiques numériques à l’Université de Montréal. Son travail a été présenté dans plusieurs festivals de films et concerts, tant au Québec qu’à l’international.
